Simply furnished, the accommodation provides: two double bedrooms; a well-equipped open-plan kitchen/diner; a comfortable lounge area with open fireplace, video library and sofabed; and a wooden staircase leading up to a lovingly restored bathroom complete with bath, shower and exposed beams.
However, the focal point of the house is the private sundrenched terrace which commands one of the most beautiful views in the whole of Tuscany - the Fegana valley set within the Garfagnana Alps. This is the perfect spot for al fresco meals or to just relax with a glass of wine, a good book and soak up that Tuscan sun!
If you can bear to tear yourself away from the sun terrace, a stroll around the traffic free village of Tereglio is enchanting. Hidden within the picturesque, cobbled streets you will discover two family-run restaurants that provide authentic Tuscan cuisine at exceptional value. There are also two shops for general provisions, a post office and a very friendly bar where the measures increase in size the more you drink!
The surrounding countryside has plenty of activities to offer - wonderful walks within the Garfagnana national parks, horseriding, mountain biking or simply pampering yourself within the nearby spa town of Bagni di Lucca (under 10 km away). The coast, Pisa, Florence and of course Lucca itself are all within easy reach for a day's outing
